Museo del Gioiello in Vicenza reopens with 400 new pieces and international curators

In December 2016, the Museo del Gioiello, Italy's inaugural jewelry museum located in the Basilica Palladiana from the 16th century, will present a revamped exhibition. This updated collection, encompassing 400 items across nine thematic rooms designed by Patricia Urquiola, spans more than 410 square meters. The museum, overseen by Fiera di Vicenza and the Municipality of Vicenza, follows a biennial renewal schedule. Its first cycle, which began on December 24, 2014, drew over 33,000 visitors. Experts such as Glenn Adamson and Cristina Del Mare are curating the new exhibition. Additionally, the museum has become a member of Museimpresa, highlighting its significance as a cultural center, as stated by Matteo Marzotto, President of Fiera di Vicenza.
