On June 22, 2019, the Museo Castromediano in Lecce will welcome visitors once again following renovations by Regione Puglia, Teatro Pubblico Pugliese, and the Province of Lecce. Now expanded to 5,000 square meters, it features contemporary art, music, and craftsmanship. The reopening celebration includes the concert 'Pangea. Una terra, un mare, un popolo,' featuring diverse musical traditions and a video-mapping presentation by Hermes Mangialardo. Notable exhibits comprise Pino Pascali's 'Cinque bachi da setola e un bozzolo' installation and Francesco Giannico's sound installation, along with the Messapic 'Colonnina di Patù' and the 'Opere in cantiere' exhibition.
