Museo Carlo Zauli in Faenza reopens after 2023 flood

exhibition · 2026-04-27

On January 27, 2024, from 4 PM to 9 PM, the Museo Carlo Zauli in Faenza will reopen its doors following a flood on May 16, 2023, which impacted around 100 municipalities. The museum, dedicated to ceramic artistry, initiated a fundraising effort to aid in its recovery. Featured in the exhibition are original pieces, archival documents, and installations by Michele Guido and Namsal Siedlecki, available for viewing until March 2, 2024. Guido’s project, 'Mudfulness – Terre a Dimora,' which won the 2023 initiative for promoting historic residences, included participation from students in Bologna and Ravenna. Siedlecki's 'Vasi' explores post-flood transformation and will develop through community workshops, in partnership with the artist collective T.NUA.
