Museion Bolzano seeks new director after Letizia Ragaglia's term ends
Museion Bolzano has published a call for applications for its next director, as Letizia Ragaglia reaches the statutory maximum of eight years in leadership. Ragaglia served as interim director from 2009 and officially from 2011, guiding the museum through its first decade in the new KSV Berlin-designed glass cube. Under her tenure, Museion became one of Italy's and the Alpine region's leading contemporary art museums, with a collection of over 4,000 works and a guest curator program. The new director, to take office in June 2019, must have expertise in contemporary art, international networks, fundraising, and an understanding of South Tyrol's trilingual cultural context. Applications are due by July 20, 2018.
