Museion Bolzano presents Erika Giovanna Klein and David Medalla exhibitions

Museion in Bolzano, Italy, is currently showcasing two exhibitions: 'Bird Flight', honoring Erika Giovanna Klein (1900–1957), and 'David Medalla: Parables of Friendship', marking the first retrospective of the Filipino artist since his passing in 2020. The exhibition 'Bird Flight', developed in collaboration with the museum's educational team, aligns Klein's research with pieces from the Museion Collection, drawing inspiration from her work in New York that represents freedom. It features loans from institutions such as the Belvedere, the University of Applied Arts Vienna, Wien Museum, and Museo Eccel Kreuzer, highlighting Klein's early pieces alongside her contemporaries and later connections to artists like Dadamaino and Günther Uecker. Meanwhile, 'David Medalla: Parables of Friendship', organized with Bonner Kunstverein, encompasses Medalla's extensive 70-year artistic journey, including diverse art forms and the interactive work 'A Stitch in Time'.
