Museion Bolzano 2025 Program: Art as Social Tool

Museion Bolzano has announced its 2025 exhibition program under the theme 'The Softest Hard,' positioning art as non-violent urban resistance. The program also marks the museum's 40th anniversary. Director Bart van der Heide describes art as a force for well-being, resistance, and collective responsibility, encouraging future generations to shape culture and urban space. Key exhibitions include 'Graffiti,' a group show featuring over 50 international artists in spring, and the first European retrospective of Nicola L. in autumn, organized with Camden Art Centre, Frac Bretagne, and Kunsthalle Wien. The museum will also focus on its collection through Museion Academy, exploring Francesco Conz editions and Fluxus legacy, a special project on Sven Sachsalber, and a comprehensive study on Lucia Marcucci's work titled 'Tutto qui?' developed with Ar/Ge Kunst and supported by Italian Council. On September 13, Museion and Transart Festival will co-host a 24-hour event celebrating the museum's 40 years and Transart's 25 years, keeping doors open continuously, echoing the 2008 inauguration. Partnerships include Unibz and the Master FOAM program for training new museum professionals, while the Museion Art Club Forum remains a space for subcultures hosting experimental music, poetry, and performance.
