Museion 2019: Keren Cytter, Haim Steinbach, and Bauhaus Centenary
On January 25, Museion in Bolzano will kick off its 2019 season with Keren Cytter's solo exhibition titled 'Mature Content.' Additionally, the program features Haim Steinbach's first solo show in Italy in over two decades, organized in collaboration with Museum Kurhaus Kleve. A centenary exhibition celebrating Bauhaus will highlight Ludwig Hirschfeld-Mack's Lichtspiel-Apparat. Guest curator Ilse Lafer will present a show inspired by Carla Lonzi, showcasing artists such as Chiara Fumai and Marisa Merz. Furthermore, a partnership with Level 0 will present Libera Mazzoleni at Cubo Garutti. The ANS – Archivio di Nuova Scrittura collection will be reintroduced in a dual autumn exhibition. Museion's primary supporter is the Autonomous Province of Bolzano. Director Letizia Ragaglia acknowledges the museum's inviting atmosphere but mentions its remote location as a drawback. The 2018 exhibition 'Body Check' is set to travel to Lenbachhaus Munich.
