MUSA, new multidisciplinary art space opens in Turin's historic center

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Despite pandemic restrictions, MUSA has opened in Turin's Quadrilatero Romano district, a two-floor venue in a restored noble palace. Owner Pierluca Lobina, a construction entrepreneur, spent two years on the architectural recovery, uncovering ancient cellars from the 1700s that connected noble buildings. The 500-square-meter space, located near Santuario della Consolata, sits atop underground passages linking to a paleochristian church, a Baroque masterpiece by Guarino Guarini and Filippo Juvarra. Director Raffaella Ravazzani states the venue's mission is to exhibit artistic beauty, starting with works from Milan's Galleria Fabbrica Eos. The inaugural show, 'One World' (through November 8), features photographer Davide Bramante's 'non-digital multiple exposures' and sculptures by Dario Goldaniga, curated by Giancarlo Pedrazzini, with participation from Fondazione Cecilia Gilardi and its grantee Giacomo Mafrici. From November 20-28, MUSA will host 'Le stanze di Rol' during the Torino Film Festival, displaying objects belonging to the late Turin psychic Gustavo Rol.
