Muqaddas Akkari Studio Renovates Tribeca Loft in Former Candy Factory
Muqaddas Akkari Studio has completed a full gut renovation of a Tribeca apartment located in a former 1880s candy factory. The 4,200-square-foot residence features 18-foot ceilings, original timber beams, and a large skylight. The design team, including Selma Akkari, Rawan Muqaddas, and Fajer Al Qattan, worked over two years to soften the industrial loft feel while preserving its character. The project was curated by Hadir Al Koshta, with architecture offices by Sarah Jacoby Architect. Photographs were taken by Joe Kramm. Manufacturers include Allied Maker, Apparatus Studio, Daikon Studio, Human Home, and In Common With.
