Munbam Interactive Children's Museum Dedicated to Saint Nicholas Opens in Bari

The Munbam (Museo Interattivo per Bambini dedicato a San Nicola) has opened in Bari, Italy, inside the Castello Svevo. The interactive museum, curated by Marilena di Tursi, is designed for children and adults to explore the legends and historical documentation of Saint Nicholas, the city's patron saint. The project is promoted by the Fondazione Myrabilia, established in 2014. The exhibition layout, designed by architect Antonella Mari, consists of five thematic rooms: Ti ascolto, Ti mangio, Ti gioco, Ti scrivo, and Ti re-invento. These spaces combine historical artifacts with interactive elements, including toys, memorabilia, and workshops for schools and families. Objects come from private collections across Europe, including those of Nino Lavermicocca (Bari), Reverend James Rosenthal (UK), Hans Peter Rust (Switzerland), Marcel Janssens (Belgium), and Marcus Vankan (Netherlands). The museum was funded by public institutions and an ongoing Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign (donations range from €9 to €1,200). A parallel virtual experience is being developed by digital experts.
