MUNAV in Venice revamps with new logo, audioguide, and cultural program
The MUNAV – Museo Storico Navale di Venezia, founded in 1923, is set for a significant transformation. Since March 2024, D'Uva has been overseeing the museum, which covers 6,000 sqm and consists of 42 rooms, including the Padiglione delle Navi and the submarine Enrico Dandolo. The revamped features will be revealed on March 30, 2025, alongside the Amerigo Vespucci's arrival. Enhancements comprise a new ticket office and a bookshop located in the historic hall of Admiral Angelo Emo's monument. Ticket holders will receive the first audioguide, highlighting 58 historical figures. The exhibition route begins in a 15th-century granary, with a cultural program launching in May, featuring Giulia Piscitelli's exhibition during the Venice Architecture Biennale. A café is anticipated for 2026.
