MUMAC opens coffee-themed escape room in Milan
In 2024, the MUMAC – Museo della Macchina per Caffè di Cimbali Group, located in Binasco, Milan, introduced a coffee-themed escape room named Mumac Coffee Escape. This interactive experience allows small groups to unravel a mystery centered around a theft involving a coffee machine from the museum's extensive collection, renowned as the largest and most significant globally. Two gameplay options are available: 'Mistery,' a one-hour challenge across seven museum rooms, and 'Investigation,' a two-hour adventure that includes the Mumac Academy. Participants utilize a booklet with puzzles and a web app for answers. The inaugural session will take place on March 16, with group prices between €160 and €230. Museum director Barbara Foglia emphasized the aim to attract new audiences and enhance engagement with coffee culture.
