Multiple New York Gallery Shows Feature Pope L, Rita Ackermann, and Others

Several New York galleries are presenting new exhibitions. William Pope L is showing work at Mitchell-Innes & Nash. Rita Ackermann has an exhibition at Andrea Rosen Gallery. Nicole Cherubini is presenting work at both Smith Stewart and 303 Gallery. Kota Ezawa's work is on view at Murray Guy. Michael Krebber is exhibiting at Greene Naftali. Separately, the exhibition 'Person of the Crowd: The Contemporary Art of Flânerie' is currently open in Philadelphia and will close on May 22. A separate two-part exhibition explores the history of black performance art throughout the 20th century. On the artcritical website, David Cohen hosted a discussion with guests Laila Pedro, Barry Schwabsky, and Roberta Smith.
