Multiple gallery exhibitions feature Per Kirkeby, Peter Doig, and other artists across New York venues

Per Kirkeby's work is displayed at Michael Werner Gallery until October 29. Peter Doig shows simultaneously at Michael Werner Gallery and Gavin Brown's Enterprise. R H Quaytman exhibits at Miguel Abreu Gallery, while Hiroshi Sugimoto appears at Gagosian Gallery. Mary Heilmann's pieces are on view at 303 Gallery. Byars's exhibition continues at MoMA PS1 through September 7. Yves Klein's fire paintings were presented at Michael Werner Gallery from November 1, 2005 to January 14, 2006, with a career survey at L&M Fine Arts from October 25 to December 10. Henry Moore drawings from the Henry Moore Foundation collection were shown at Hazlitt Holland-Hibbert through May 14, 2004. Markus Lüpertz's "About the Three Graces" was at Michael Werner until May 29, 2004. Georg Baselitz's recent paintings were exhibited at Michael Werner through February 7, and Joseph Beuys works from the Speck Collection were at Gagosian Gallery until February 14. Nudes remain on view through January 5. Penck's work demonstrates highly skilled orientation and spacing of visual components. The late artist is honored with four simultaneous exhibitions, including a MoMA retrospective.
