Multiple exhibitions at Pierogi Gallery feature Kara Rooney, Christopher Stackhouse, John Yau, and Stuart Davis Group

Kara Rooney's exhibition 'Space Machines' runs at Pierogi Gallery's Lower East Side location through October 9, featuring drawings, paintings, and a collaborative installation that employs Borgesian organizational parodies. Christopher Stackhouse's goofy sculptures mark the closure of Pierogi's main Brooklyn space as the gallery relocates to Manhattan. John Yau presents a drawing animation that achieves both flatness and three-dimensionality simultaneously. Planet X remains on view in Williamsburg through April 21. Another exhibition includes friends of an artist tracing his drawing of Osama bin Laden, available at Pierogi through November 15. The Stuart Davis Group exhibition continues through December 23, offering high jinks riffs on the jazz pioneer's painterly syncopations.
