Multicolour: 30 Artists Create Pastel Works for Refugee Fundraiser

An exhibition and auction titled Multicolour, aimed at aiding refugees, features contributions from thirty international artists, such as Anish Kapoor, Raqib Shaw, and Rachel Whiteread. The artworks, created with pastels and colored pencils salvaged from the Calais Jungle—a refugee camp that housed 10,000 individuals before its demolition in 2016—are part of this initiative. Founded by Simon Butler after his visit to the Jungle in August 2016, Migrate Art seeks to benefit charities like RefuAid, Refugee Community Kitchen, The Lotus Flower, and The Worldwide Tribe. The exhibition will take place in London in March 2019, with auctions at Phillips in early April and online sales through Artsy and MyArtBroker.com. Previous collaborations have raised £97,000 for various projects across three continents. Other artists involved include Annie Kevans, Annie Morris, and many more.
