MUDI Museum Opens Inside Iconic Cocoricò Nightclub in Riccione

Since 1989, the Cocoricò nightclub in Riccione has been a renowned venue for techno music, and it is now set to unveil Italy's inaugural club museum. The MUDI (MUseo DIscocratico) initiative, launched by Unfollow Advertising in 2021, will open on May 19, 2024, featuring a complimentary event from 6 PM to midnight. The museum will showcase 29 contemporary artists, such as Abraxass, Collettivo Cesura, and Ka$ap Rocky, with some pieces available for purchase to fund future commissions, establishing the club as a supporter of the arts. The grand opening will include a sensory performance by Filippo Sorcinelli, a screening of Cocoricò Tapes (2023) by Francesco Tavella, and live art by Sara Leghissa, culminating with Bring it to the Runway at the iconic Pyramid. Artistic director Mike Pagliarulo, alongside owners Enrico Galli and Antonella Bonicalzi, envisions Cocoricò as a center for various art forms, aiming for recognition from Italy's Ministry of Culture.
