MUDEC's magazine MU Mudec United prepares second issue
In the spring of 2023, the MUDEC – Museo delle Culture in Milan introduced its publication, MU Mudec United, under the direction of Carlo Antonelli and the design of Studio FM. The inaugural edition, titled 'Rainbow,' was released in May 2023 and is associated with the exhibition 'Rainbow. Colori e meraviglie fra miti, arti e scienza,' which pays tribute to the 1975 'The Rainbow Show' at the De Young Museum. Priced at €15, the magazine features content in English alongside Italian texts, delving into the concept of rainbows through discussions on civil rights, color science, and cultural depictions. It includes significant interviews, such as one with gallerist Emi Fontana. The upcoming second issue will connect with an installation by Mariana Castillo Deball and will explore themes related to the 'Exposure' exhibition set for March 2024, focusing on practices in ethnographic museums.
