MTA Architects' Innovation Lab Opens in Chennai
MTA Architects has completed its own satellite office, the Innovation Lab, in Chennai. Designed by lead architects Ar Ramesh B and Ar Uma Shankar D, the 6,750 m² project serves as a working studio and client lounge. The building emphasizes local materials, passive environmental strategies, and traditional construction techniques, aiming for a convergence of culture and nature. It is nestled into a landscaped site featuring native plant gardens, a pool, and generous outdoor areas. Completed in 2024, the project was curated by Miwa Negoro and photographed by 0nebox photography.
