Mr. Wany: From Graffiti Writing to Ephemeral Beauty

Mr. Wany, born Andrea Sergio in 1978, began graffiti writing at age 12 in Brindisi, becoming a pioneer of European graffiti culture. His artistic journey spans visual arts, graphic design, comics, illustration, tattooing, set design, music production, and dance. He collaborated with brands like Red Bull, Nike, and Adidas. His character Hyroshi Kabuki reflects Japanese influences. He emphasizes mixed techniques and site-specific works. His project 'Ephemeral Beauty' debuted at Galo Art Gallery (Turin) and Street Levels Gallery (Florence), exploring the cultural and economic value of New York subway graffiti by artists like Dondi White and Phase 2. The exhibition includes writing, street art, calligraphy, pop surrealism, painting, print, photography, sculpture, and installations. Future projects include 'Semiotic of Bboying' and 'Deep Trip'.
