Mr Phantom's Princess Diana Triptych Surpasses $1 Million in Private Sales

A London-based anonymous artist known as Mr Phantom has wrapped up a private sale of the last piece in his Princess Diana trilogy, achieving over $1 million in total sales. The final piece, named The Guardian, sold for £300,000 (around $405,000), making it the collection's most prized artwork and bringing the overall sales to £775,000 (about $1.05 million). Unlike his usual contemporary style, this trilogy features traditional oil portraits that explore public identity and cultural memory. The first piece, The People's Queen, went for £200,000 (roughly $270,000) in 2024, and the second, Grandmaster, depicting Diana on a throne, sold for £275,000 (approximately $371,000). Mr Phantom is gaining traction, with other works like The Matrix selling for £147,000 and The Weight of Silence receiving attention from The Times. He also supports charities like Mind and the Ricky Hatton Foundation and recently created a secret installation in Scotland and held a solo exhibition called G.A.S vs G.A.C.
