Motion of a Nation: 31 Artists Explore Borders and Belonging at SPUMA Venice

At SPUMA – Space for the Arts in Venice, the exhibition 'Motion of a Nation,' curated by Antonio Arévalo, features the works of 31 individual artists and one collective, exploring themes of nationalism and borders through various forms of visual and performance art. This exhibition, which runs until July 31, 2025, includes photography, video, painting, drawing, and live performances. The event commenced on May 31 with performances by Filippo Riniolo, Gaston Ramirez Feltrin, and Escuela Moderna/Ateneo Libertario, followed by actress Giorgia Palombi and contributions from Damoon Keshavaz, Greta dell’Oro, and Arianna Ferreri. Each artist created a video to express their involvement, promoting anti-war messages and human rights on social media. Arévalo characterizes the exhibition as "an audacious and ironic journey," where art serves as a means of resistance and cultural expression.
