MOT Tokyo Marks 30 Years with 'Choreographies of the Everyday'

The Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo (MOT) celebrates its 30th anniversary with the exhibition 'Choreographies of the Everyday,' running from August 23 to November 24, 2025. The show features works by over a dozen artists and collectives, including Jonathas de Andrade, Ken Sasaki, Julia Sarisetiati & Ary 'Jimged' Sendy, Rice Brewing Sisters Club, Shubigi Rao, FAMEME, CAMP, Yamato Kaede, Kakuo Shinkai, Shilpa Gupta, Pinaree Sanpitak, Bakudapan Food Study Group, Natsuki Kuroda, and Heman Chong. Highlights include de Andrade's 'Fome de Resistência' series, Sasaki's textile works and 'Tatami' (2025), Sarisetiati & Sendy's 'Choreographed Knowledges' (2025), and Chong's 'Departures (Part 1)' (2025) and ongoing 'The Library of Unread Books' with Renée Staal. The exhibition explores everyday routines and movements through diverse media, from photography and textiles to installation and performance.
