architecture-design · 2026-05-01

New York-based Morris Adjmi Architects has completed Steel House, a 12-storey office building in Denver's River North Arts District (RiNo). The building features a gridded black facade clad in C-shaped beams, perforated metal screens on parking levels, and a tower-like entrance referencing historical lift towers and grain silos. Amenities include an indoor basketball court, climbing wall, yoga studio, bike room, and luxury locker rooms. The 13,000-square-foot rooftop terrace offers seating, dining, and barbecue grills. Interiors have exposed structural elements, large ribbon windows, and a double-height lobby with stone reception desk and bleacher seating. Sustainable elements include natural ventilation and daylighting. The project team includes landscape architect Future Green Studio, architect of record Open Studio Architecture, and developers Elevation Development Group, Beacon Capital Partners, and MetLife.
