Morgane Tschiember's First Italian Solo Show at Marselleria

Morgane Tschiember (born 1976 in Berst, lives in Paris) presents her first Italian solo exhibition at Marselleria in Milan, titled (∂ + m) ψ = 0, running until June 10, 2016. The show features installations that partially display her recent artist residency project in Vicenza's industrial district, developed in collaboration with two construction material companies. Tschiember's compositional practice employs destructive and constructive gestures, using materials such as metals, clay structures, blown glass, and polymers to explore oxymoronic states. Notable works include suspended Shibari pieces that appear absorbed and depowered by the exhibition space, stripped of the processual actions that shaped them. The exhibition is curated by Ginevra Bria, an art critic and curator at Isisuf – International Institute for Futurism Studies in Milan, specialized in Latin American contemporary art.
