MoRE Museum Opens Virtual Exhibition of Luca Vitone's Unrealized Projects

exhibition · 2026-05-05

On May 1, 2016, the MoRE museum launched a virtual exhibition called "Quando il pubblico rimane privato. Progetti non realizzati di Luca Vitone," curated by Elisabetta Modena. This exhibit features four projects by Luca Vitone, an Italian artist from Genoa, born in 1964, which he submitted to public competitions but didn't win. Included are "Una tigre per Torino" (2002) for the Premio ArteGiovane and "Foglie al vento" (2010) for Arte per piazza Matteotti. Two new pieces are also highlighted: a 2009 collaboration with Frank Boehm for Piazza Verdi and a monument for Nazi deserters. The exhibition delves into anti-militarism and urban renewal themes. MoRE collaborates with the University of Parma’s CAPAS, aiming to support unrealized projects and showcase critical art discussions.
