Moofer Architecture's Rangunia Residence Reimagines Bangladeshi Vernacular

Moofer Architecture, led by principal architect Md. Fahad Rahman, has completed the Rangunia Residence in Rangunia, Chattogram, Bangladesh. The 4,500-square-foot house reinterprets spatial and environmental principles of rural Bangladeshi architecture through a contemporary lens shaped by climate, landscape, and daily life. Rather than nostalgic references, the design employs familiar vernacular elements as practical responses to the semi-rural site. The project, completed in 2026, was photographed by Prantography. Structural engineering was handled by Pratim Bhuiyan, and electrical engineering by Mohammad Rashedul Islam. The residence was curated by Miwa Negoro.
