Monza Photo Fest 2024: First Edition Brings Free Photography Exhibitions

The first edition of Monza Photo Fest will take place from September 20 to November 11, 2024, under the artistic direction of Roberto Mutti. All exhibitions are free to the public. The festival features a program dedicated to major names in Italian and international photography, including Maurizio Galimberti and Heinz Schattner. Galimberti's solo show 'Una vertigine espressiva' at the Sala convegni of the Reggia di Monza presents his iconic Polaroid mosaics. Schattner's 'La liberazione dell’utopia' at the Sala conferenze of the Musei Civici di Monza explores dreamlike visions and surreal atmospheres. Other exhibitions include 'Sport Shorts. Scatti di valore' curated by Fondazione 3M at Binario 7, focusing on the link between sport and photography, and 'Essere Monza. Ritratti del Circolo Fotografico Monzese' also at Binario 7, curated by Loredana De Pace of Studio CAOS, featuring 94 photographs by members of the local photography club. The festival is organized by Diorama Progetti Fotografici in collaboration with the Assessorato alla Cultura of the Comune di Monza, aiming to engage both specialists and the general public across various venues in Monza.
