Montpellier Metropolitan Cemetery by Agence Traverses Opens as Public Park

In 2022, Agence Traverses - Paysage, Urbanisme, Architecture completed the Montpellier Metropolitan Cemetery, a 562 m² project in Montpellier, France. The design treats the cemetery as a public landscaped park, exploring symbolic relationships between death, the cosmos, nature, earth, sky, and light. The project was curated by Paula Pintos, with lead architects from Agence TRAVERSES. Photographs were taken by Marie-Caroline Lucat.
