Monograph Celebrates Aldo Di Gennaro's Illustrious Career

At the age of eighty, Aldo Di Gennaro remains a prolific artist, showcasing his talent without any decline. He embarked on his artistic journey at eighteen in 1956, working as a comic and poster artist at Studio Dami, where he collaborated with esteemed Italian illustrators such as Antonio Canale, Renzo Calegari, Gino D'Antonio, Mario Uggeri, Nando Tacconi, Hugo Pratt, Dino Battaglia, and his greatest influence, Giorgio De Gaspari. In the early 1960s, he transitioned to Corriere dei Piccoli, teaming up with writer Mino Milani to produce comics and numerous illustrations for various narratives. Di Gennaro later contributed to several publications within the Corriere-Rizzoli group, significantly impacting Italian visual culture. He also created covers for Rizzoli Libri and Club degli Editori, and currently illustrates for Sergio Bonelli Editore's Almanacchi and the Le Storie series.
