Mondrian House Museum in Amersfoort Fully Renovated for De Stijl Centenary

The Mondrian House in Amersfoort, Netherlands, has undergone a complete renovation to mark the centenary of De Stijl. The redesign was executed by Tinker imagineers, an experience design studio responsible for everything from concept to furnishings and large multimedia installations. Visitors to Piet Mondrian's birthplace can now explore the artist's life and work through a series of environments tracing his journey from Amersfoort to Winterswijk, Amsterdam, Paris, London, and New York. The tour begins with a video-installation dedicated to Mondrian's oeuvre, a narrative of images and sounds guiding viewers from his early landscape paintings to the abstract works that made him world-famous. The soundtrack features music Mondrian loved, including Ravel, jazz, Stravinsky, and Boogie-Woogie.
