MoMu Antwerp Exhibition Celebrates Royal Academy's Fashion Legacy
The Fashion Museum Antwerp, known as MoMu, is currently hosting an exhibition titled 'Looks, Looks, Looks – The Antwerp Fashion Department at Work.' This showcase, curated by Brandon Wen, who has been the creative director since 2022, features student works and looks back at the Antwerp Six, a group that changed the fashion scene in the 1980s. The exhibition highlights the strong relationship between the Academy and MoMu, both situated in the ModeNatie building, which enhances Antwerp's status as a fashion center. Notable alumni include Meryll Rogge with Marni, Glenn Martens at Diesel and Maison Margiela, as well as Demna at Gucci. Visitors can view the exhibition until 8 November 2026, amidst concerns about rising fees for international students that could impact diversity.
