MoMA's 'New Order' Explores Technology Through Art

exhibition · 2026-05-04

The Museum of Modern Art in New York presents 'New Order: Art and Technology in the Twenty-First Century,' a group exhibition curated by Michelle Kuo. Featuring around twenty artists, all works are drawn from the museum's collection, many shown for the first time. The show highlights how technology, despite its invisible and wireless nature, remains grounded in the physical world. Artists include historical figures like Louise Bourgeois (1911–2010) and Rosemarie Trockel (1952), mid-career artists Neri Oxman (1976), Josh Kline (1979), and Camille Henrot (1978), and younger artists Taua Auerbach (1981), Ian Cheng (1984), and Sondra Perry (1986). The exhibition also showcases recent MoMA acquisitions.
