MoMA appoints Michelle Elligott as Chief of Archives effective July 1

Michelle Elligott, previously a senior archivist at the Museum of Modern Art, will assume the role of Chief of Archives on July 1. Her responsibilities include overseeing the acquisition, preservation, and accessibility of archival materials related to modern and contemporary art. Elligott will enhance the use of archives for research and exhibitions, lead an electronic archive initiative, and promote online access to digitized items. The archives contain over six million items, and her work will focus on making these primary source collections more available for scholarly and public use.
