Molteplice senza disordine: Three Generations of Italian Sculpture at Fondazione Sabe

exhibition · 2026-04-14

Fondazione Sabe per l’arte in Ravenna presents 'Molteplice senza disordine', a group exhibition curated by Enrico Camprini featuring Alice Cattaneo (b. 1976), Elisabetta Di Maggio (b. 1964), and Remo Salvadori (b. 1947). The title, borrowed from Borges's 'The Aleph', evokes a complexity that does not descend into chaos. The show explores intersections between generations, emphasizing matter, time, and gesture. Cattaneo works with humble materials like wood, iron, glass, and cotton thread. Di Maggio uses surgical scalpels on organic and artificial materials such as lotus leaves, eucalyptus leaves, Marseille soap, and tissue paper, revealing hidden architectures. Salvadori, a veteran of Documenta and the Venice Biennale, employs metals like copper, lead, and iron, as well as water and color, treating the artwork as an alchemical transformation. The exhibition runs from April 19 to June 28, 2026. The foundation also houses a specialized library on contemporary sculpture and an archive of Mirella Saluzzo's works.
