MOLSION Concept Store by Some Thoughts in Xiamen

Some Thoughts Spatial Design Studio has completed the MOLSION concept store in Xiamen, China, in 2024. The 98-square-meter interior retail space explores a dialogue between felt and metal, two contrasting materials. Custom triangular fasteners link the materials, softening metal's coldness while unlocking felt's sculptural potential. The design treats felt as a modular element, transcending conventional material boundaries to achieve a symbiotic balance. The project was led by principal architect Li Jingze, with photography by SFAP. The client is Xiamen Aiyirui Optical Co.
