Molo22: New exhibition space opens in Pescara's Marina port

A new exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art, Molo22, has opened within the Porto Turistico Marina di Pescara, one of the largest Adriatic marinas spanning over 200,000 square meters. Conceived by set designer and curator Nadia Di Bernardo, with Claudio Di Carlo and Massimiliano Stella, the space aims to operate outside traditional gallery market logic as a multipurpose venue for exhibitions, screenings, and concerts. Molo22 debuted on November 22, 2025, with "Liberticidio," a black-and-white photography exhibition by Joseph De Felici and Ferdinando Gatta, running until December 11. The exhibition explores the concept of liberty through images that critique media manipulation and societal control, featuring structures that appear as windowless prisons. Curator Francesca Perti describes the work as a unified voice that forces viewers to reconsider freedom and its opposite. The project builds on a precursor event in August 2025, when Di Carlo's show "Intervencion del Artista en la Milonga del Puerto" was held at the Home Gallery of ITUTOR real estate agency within the same marina.
