Mohammad Alfaraj Wins Hayy Jameel Façade Commission in Jeddah
Mohammad Alfaraj, a multimedia artist hailing from Saudi Arabia, has been selected for the Hayy Jameel Façade Commission to create a public installation for the 25-meter façade of the venue in Jeddah. His design, titled The Face of the City, stood out among 80 submissions, chosen by a distinguished panel that included Dr. Ahmed Mater, Aric Chen, Elina Kountouri, and Rahul Gudipudi. The simple wall is a key aspect of the building's architecture. Alfaraj mentioned that the artwork aims to pay tribute to Jeddah and its people, capturing the essence of its past, present, and future.
