Modernica and Autotype Partner for Charity Auction of Design Pieces
Furniture brand Modernica has partnered with Autotype, a design community and eCommerce platform, for an exclusive charity auction to benefit design students. The auction features bespoke furniture pieces including the iconic Fiberglass Shell Chair, a modern desk, and select desk accessories. Modernica, family-owned and operated, has produced furniture at its five-acre Los Angeles campus for over 25 years, using original presses and specialized equipment to preserve the authenticity of fiberglass chair production since 1999. Autotype co-founder Derek Galkin expressed admiration for Modernica's design approach and the privilege of partnering to support future creatives.
