Moderna Museet acquires Ulf Linde's Duchamp archive, plans symposium
Moderna Museet in Stockholm has acquired the archive of Swedish art critic Ulf Linde, which contains sketches, letters, photographs, and books signed by Marcel Duchamp. This acquisition strengthens the museum's already significant Duchamp collection. Linde first met Duchamp in 1961 during the artist's visit to Stockholm, leading to an intense collaboration where Linde produced replicas of nearly all Duchamp's key works. To mark this acquisition, Moderna Museet will host a three-day symposium titled 'Duchamp and Sweden' from April 28 to 30. The event will bring together curators, specialists, and scholars to discuss Duchamp's legacy. The symposium will take place at the museum itself.
