Modena's Fondazione Ago launches Ago Off summer talks and workshops

Fondazione Ago – Modena Fabbriche Culturali, which inherited the legacy of FMAV – Fondazione Modena Arti Visive and its three institutions (Galleria Civica di Modena, Fondazione Fotografia Modena, Museo della Figurina), is launching Ago Off, a summer series of free dialogues, workshops, and labs at Santagostino. The initiative runs from July 23 to September 13, 2025, in the pedestrianized area adjacent to Palazzo dei Musei, designed by CRA- Carlo Ratti Associati and Italo Rota. The program includes talks on art and well-being, children's labs, and guided tours of the ongoing restoration of the 18th-century ex-hospital Sant'Agostino, which is being transformed into a cultural hub housing the civic museums, university museums, DHMoRe, and Future Education Modena (FEM). Events take place Tuesday through Thursday at aperitivo time. Opening talk on July 23 addresses art as a tool for well-being with Alzheimer's patients; July 24 features a science-traces lab for kids; July 29 discusses the 'Museum of Wonders' with Francesca Fontana; July 30 explores new reading modes on paper and screen. Guided construction site tours are scheduled for July 18, August 1, and September 13.
