Model Peng Chang's Off-Duty Style: Vintage Finds and Runway Success

Taiwanese model Peng Chang, 26, based in Taipei and signed with Over:Face Management, is gaining recognition for her distinctive off-duty style. Discovered by a photographer while late to school, Chang made her runway debut at Burberry's spring 2024 show and has since walked for Balenciaga, TWP, and Off-White. She has also appeared in campaigns for Acne Studios and covers for Vogue Taiwan and Vogue Japan. In a recent interview with Vogue, Chang shared details about her personal style, which she describes as 'free without thinking,' and highlighted key wardrobe pieces including a wool coat by a friend, sunglasses bought on a whim, and a vintage Claude Montana leather jacket from New York. She typically wears all black to castings and relies on novels and manga to pass time during fashion week. Chang's favorite job to date is the Vogue Taiwan January 2022 cover story, where she held a popsicle made from wastewater, a concept she first encountered in high school. She felt she 'made it' when she repaid money borrowed from her mother after her first year modeling in Paris and New York. Looking ahead, Chang hopes to see her work painted on a red brick wall in New York and to add a stroke herself.
