MOCA Feast: Summer Art Program in Monsano, Marche

festival-fair · 2026-04-27

The small town of Monsano in the Marche region of Italy presents MOCA Feast, a summer art program running from June 26 to August 1. Organized by TOMAV, the Marche art center directed by Andrea Giusti, and curated by Antonello Tolve, the event transforms the historic castle, main square, parks, and surrounding countryside into venues for contemporary art. The theme of this first edition is the relationship between existence and coexistence. The core exhibition, "Come colui che nove cose assaggia" (Giorgia Mascitti, Deborah Napolitano, Laura Paoletti, Iacopo Pinelli), is held in the ancient Castle Kitchens, linking past traces with intimate works about food, home, and personal memory. Environmental sculptures by Paola Tassetti animate various areas of the town, while additional works by Ado Bradimarte, Marco Cingolani, and Matteo Costanzo are placed in the countryside, accessible on foot. The program includes talks and cultural discussions throughout the month.
