MLB Gallery Skips Arte Fiera for 900-Year-Old Bologna Tower Exhibition
This year, Maria Livia Brunelli's nonprofit, MLB Gallery, based in Ferrara, won’t be at Arte Fiera Bologna. Instead, they’re kicking off a big outdoor project at Torre Prendiparte, a historic tower that’s 900 years old and the second tallest in Bologna, owned by Matteo Giovanardi. Each floor will feature a different artist engaging with the surroundings. Curated by Carlo Sala and Sabrina Losenno, it includes artists like Anna di Prospero and Silvia Camporesi. Meanwhile, Studio Evolve hosts "L'arte è un camaleonte," showcasing Barbara Capponi and others. Brunelli mentions the nonprofit's growth and educational aims as reasons for skipping the fair, inspired by international art spaces. The tower exhibition will explore spirituality, with guided tours and evening culinary events by Silvia Brunelli. Future plans include focusing on younger artists and research in various art forms.
