Miuccia Prada Receives Lifetime Achievement Award at Fashion Trust Arabia 2025 in Qatar

At the National Museum of Qatar, which was designed by Jean Nouvel, the Lifetime Achievement Award for 2025 was presented to Miuccia Prada by Fashion Trust Arabia (FTA). Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, who serves as the president of Qatar Museums and co-president of FTA alongside Tania Fares, delivered a tribute to Prada. She emphasized Prada's significant contribution to fostering cultural exchange, stating that her work is rooted in culture rather than fleeting trends. Sheikha recalled Prada's early collaboration with the abaya, which culminated in the creation of the abaya-raincoat for the World Cup. Other honorees included Youssef Drissi, Ziyad AlBuainain, Talel, FYR Jewelry, and Touchless, highlighting FTA's commitment to nurturing a creative ecosystem in the Middle East.
