Miu Miu Women's Tales Expands to Instagram with Kimi Selfridge
Miu Miu Women's Tales, the short film series dedicated to women by the fashion brand Miu Miu, is launching a new digital initiative on Instagram under the creative direction of photographer and multimedia artist Kimi Selfridge, also known as Tan Camera. The Instagram page will feature collaborations with Celia Rowlson-Hall, director of the upcoming 14th installment of Women's Tales. Rowlson-Hall's film blends Busby Berkeley-style musical ballets with contemporary themes of fear and escapism. It will premiere at the Venice Film Festival's Giornate degli Autori on August 31. Rowlson-Hall, a choreographer and performer, has earned an Emmy nomination and screened works at Sundance; her feature film MA premiered at Venice in 2015. Previous Women's Tales directors include Chloë Sevigny, Crystal Moselle, Naomi Kawase, Agnès Varda, Alice Rohrwacher, Miranda July, So Yong Kim, Hiam Abbass, Ava DuVernay, Massy Tadjedin, Giada Colagrande, Lucrecia Martel, and Zoe Cassavetes.
