Miu Miu partners with Art Basel Paris for Tales & Tellers project by Goshka Macuga

festival-fair · 2026-04-26

Miu Miu, the young brand of the Prada Group led by Miuccia Prada, has become the main partner of the ambitious public program of Art Basel Paris 2024. The project, titled Tales & Tellers, is conceived by artist Goshka Macuga and coordinated by Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of MACBA in Barcelona. It will take place from October 16 at the Palais d'Iéna, headquarters of the French Economic, Social and Environmental Council. The initiative will feature screenings of short films and video excerpts from Miu Miu's artistic collaborations, with actors performing as characters from these works, accompanied by original projections. A series of talks is also planned, with the full program to be announced. This partnership comes amid Miu Miu's surprising growth over the past twelve months, a period marked by a slowdown in the luxury sector. Miuccia Prada has long intertwined her fashion design with contemporary art patronage, as evidenced by Fondazione Prada's activities. Since 2011, Miu Miu has produced short films representing the female world by women artists from around the globe; the 27th film was presented in Venice on September 28, 2024. Since 2021, each Miu Miu collection presentation at Palais d'Iéna has included a free dialogue with works by women artists, not necessarily tied to the collection's theme, creating an open forum on the female condition. For the spring-summer 2025 presentation on October 1, Goshka Macuga will present her reflection.
