Mitch Cairns survey spans two decades at NAS Gallery and IMA
The National Art School Gallery in Sydney will host 'Mitch Cairns: Artist’s Mouth' from 1 May to 11 July 2026, a major survey of the Archibald Prize winner’s work over twenty years since his 2006 graduation. Featuring 48 works from institutional and private collections, the exhibition includes a still life from his student days and his 2017 Archibald-winning portrait of partner Agatha Gothe-Snape. It also marks the 20th anniversary of NAS Gallery. Co-organized with the Institute of Modern Art (IMA) in Meanjin/Brisbane, the show will travel to IMA from 10 October to 20 December 2026. Curators are Lucy Latella (NAS Gallery) and Robert (IMA).
