Mister Caos: Street Artist Turns Words into Poetry on Milan's Walls

Dario Pruonto, known as Mister Caos, is a street artist and poet active in Milan since 2012. His work, which he calls 'street poetry,' blends graffiti transgression with Street Art's desire for connection. He creates site-specific poems that engage with their surroundings and the people who inhabit them. His latest piece, 'NOI,' is installed on the facade of Walden, a cultural space in Milan. The poem reads 'siamo sinergia di sinapsi libera dentro corpi differenti' and was created in collaboration with curator Simona Cioce. Inspired by philosopher Leonardo Caffo's book 'Fragile Umanità,' the work uses simple materials like water-based markers and chalk to invite public participation. Mister Caos cites influences from Banksy, Italian visual poetry, and the Dada movement. He emphasizes precision over simplicity, aiming to spark dialogue without reducing complexity. His practice involves extensive research and a commitment to making art accessible to all.
