Mirrorball: Milan exhibition explores nightclub culture through video art

exhibition · 2026-04-26

From March 31 to April 30, 2025, Careof is set to present 'Mirrorball', a group exhibition during Milan Art Week, with Marta Cereda as the curator. This event explores the differences between informal get-togethers and commercial club scenes. It utilizes Careof’s rich video collection of over 9,000 titles and includes works from artists like Francesco Bertocco, Monica Carocci, and many others. Notably, Irene de Andrés Vega and Tony Regazzoni will showcase their art in Italy for the first time. Vega's piece, 'Donde nada ocurre', highlights abandoned clubs in Ibiza, while Regazzoni's film, 'On achève bien les discos', showcases the history of nightclubs in northern Italy, such as Ultimo Impero. The exhibition aligns with miart 2025's 'among friends' theme and features an installation by Chiara Lionello.
